Jeff Sheridan
FOUNDER / ENGINEER
After a ten-year career in Toronto Jeff left his position as Chief Engineer at a prominent postproduction studio to come to Los Angeles and work with John Candy. Since then, Jeff formed Soundworks. The studio has been in business for 29 years , 17 at our current Burbank location.
Jeff has multiple gold and platinum records and has worked on 5 Grammy nominated projects and one winner! Jeff has extensive audio experience in many areas including dialog recording, mastering, music engineering, mixing and audio restoration.
Dustin Burford
CHIEF ENGINEER
After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of New Mexico in 2007, Dustin attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona in 2009 to complete his formal audio training.
Since then, Dustin has worked at Soundworks (the best team in the biz), starting as a Dialogue Editor, Assistant Engineer, and eventually working his way up to be our Chief Engineer. With over 150 IMDb credits, Dustin has worked with many animation production companies such as DreamWorks, Netflix, Disney, and PBS. He has recorded dialogue for numerous animated series including Gabby’s Dollhouse, Trollhunters, Kung Fu Panda, Jurassic World, The Boss Baby, Ghee Happy, and Blue Eye Samurai, to name a few.
On the live-action side, Dustin has recorded ADR for multiple Wolf Entertainment projects, including Law & Order: SVU, Chicago Med, FBI, and On Call, as well as many other TV shows and feature films.
He also frequently works with a number of video game production companies such as Ubisoft, Gearbox, and Blizzard Entertainment, and with an extensive background in music, he has a great ear for your next music production!
When Dustin isn’t in the studio, you can usually find him golfing, skiing or crushing the competition in pub trivia with his friends!
Jason Sharrow
AUDIO ENGINEER
Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Jason is a seasoned audio professional with a passion for all things audio. After earning an Associate’s Degree in Music Recording Technology from Schoolcraft College in 2011 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Audio for Visual Media from Columbia College Chicago in 2014, Jason has gone on to work with prominent production companies such as Disney, Netflix, CW, Wolf Films, and Hallmark.
With a diverse range of experience as a audio engineer, dialogue editor, , and ADR mixer, Jason has contributed to a wide array of TV shows (The Boys, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, American Gods, The Flash, Sweet Magnolias, Law & Order), Films (Aladdin, Downtown Abbey, Rambo: Last Blood, Color Out of Space), Animated Series (The Croods, Inside Job, Mighty MonsterWheelies, Curses!) and Video Games (Marvel’s Avengers, Wasteland 3, Zenless Zone Zero, World War Z). When not immersed in the world of sound, you can find Jason enjoying the outdoors on a mountain somewhere!
Jacob Craner
AUDIO ENGINEER
With over a decade of experience in the promo/commercial/video game/animation sectors of the industry, Jacob a highly skilled audio professional as well as an agency represented, SAG-AFTRA voice over talent.
His expertise is in short form commercial/promo mixing, with ample experience in sound design and long form mixing as well. He is a 2010 graduate of the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Phoenix, Arizona. When he’s not mixing up a storm or talking into a microphone, you can find him hiking, fishing, and camping in the great outdoors.
Fun fact: Jacob (along with his coworker Dustin Burford) has a RIAA certified gold record for his involvement on the Disney Karaoke Series: Frozen CD!
Miguel Menjivar
AUDIO ENGINEER
Born and raised in Burbank, CA. Miguel grew up surrounded by adults who worked in various aspects of the film Industry; his father was an IATSE Local 44 Set Dress member for Paramount Pictures in the 80’s. He always helped fuel his passion for Film Audio and Sound Design.
He attended Pinnacle College in Los Angeles, CA. where in 2015 he obtained his B.A.S in Film Audio Production. As he was navigating through freelance work in Live Performance Sound and Mixing and Mastering Music he met Disney Mastering Engineer Brian Malouf, who guided him into pursuing his original passion for Film/TV Audio once again.
For the past five years he has mainly dedicated time to editing and recording Voice-over productions for various Video Games, Animated Series, and Film for Marvel, Disney, Dreamworks, Sony Pictures TV, Netflix, Spike Chunsoft Games, and many more.
Miguel is currently an Audio Engineer at Soundworks (the best team around) and also serves as the Chief Live Sound Engineer for MLLF Christian Ministries. Oh, and he has also been playing guitar and other instruments for about 18 years now.
